Love is a Riddle - Chapter 5

After moving home I noticed he had this cute graduation gnome sitting in his inventory!

We had a bit of trouble with Liz. Actually, a lot of trouble. She was bugged out when she came to visit and they couldn't do any romantic interaction other than take romantic picture. I played around with it trying different things out and concluding that it was only her that was bugged. I went into CAS, saved a copy of her to the bin, had Tom break up with the original her, then moved the new copy into town. It was frustrating but eventually it got to the point he could finally propose!

I wasted no time and had them do a private ceremony then and there. In case you are wondering Liz's traits are: Socially Awkward, Genius, Excitable, Good, Heavy Sleeper, and Snob. Her LTW is Become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder and her favorite color is purple but I can't remember food or music.

I used Liz's free young adult action to get her a job in the Science career.

At the same time Tom was opening up his own daycare.

Then it was baby making time!

I love how after woohoo they both got up and started playing with magic. <3

Then Tom started magically upgrading objects around the house.

Unfortunately trying to make the dishwasher unbreakable broke the dishwasher! Dishwashers are just bad luck in this game. At least I remembered to mop up before fixing it so he didn't get electrocuted this time.

Liz spends a lot of time reading for someone who isn't a book worm. It could be that they don't have a lot of other stuff to do around the house, but they do have both a TV and a computer. It's never skill books though, sadly.

The daycare is open for business! I've never played the daycare profession before so this'll be interesting.

So far things are going pretty well. He only has the two toddlers, and although several of their needs were low when they got there they pepped up pretty quickly.

"Ugh, maybe I shouldn't have had that for lunch..."

Nope, just a pregnancy announcement! 

The next day was Leisure Day so they both went to the festival. Liz wanted to participate in the hot dog eating contest so I had Tom sign them both up.

Their first family photo! I hope to send them to the festival each season and get an updated one.

Liz was inside the house while Tom was completing a celebrity opportunity when she noticed this woman walking down the street. I don't even know how she knew she was there but she ran out to cast a good luck charm on her. I can't wait to have a house full of witches and see what kind of mischief they get into! I just hope they don't cast fire blast or whatever it's called all over the house.

They had a little boy named Severus who randomly rolled the traits of neurotic and genius. Plus he's green!

Love is a Riddle - Chapter 4

It's back to university for one more semester!

He was at the meet and great chillin' with the mascot when he got his first skill challenge (+5 points).

Then when he was sleeping he got his second skill challenge (+5 points)! I have no idea how you learn traits while you're asleep but I'll take it.

One morning I noticed the dishwasher was broken and decided to have Tom work on his handiness skill. After all things will get broken at home and he'll probably be the only one fixing them. I forgot to have him mop the floor first and he might have gotten a teensy bit electrocuted. It was quite a jarring experience considering his other near death experience just a few days before.

I've been having him jog to places around town whenever he has the time and it's payed off with his third skill challenge (+5 points). It's said that Marathon Runner increases the length of your life which is why it was one of my goals, although I'm not exactly sure how and when it comes into effect. 

Tom was at another one of Liz's parties and intended to pop the question but it just wouldn't come up as an option no matter what he did. I like how the other guy is just standing their microwaving his food or something as if some old guy isn't making out with his roommate right next to him. I never lived in a dorm so maybe this is more common place than I would expect.

I even had them woohoo and still propose marriage was no where to be found.

He finally graduated with all A's! I chose childish as his sixth trait.

Love is a Riddle - Chapter 3

Tom has been making an effort to be friends with all his roommates. It's not easy doing it the old fashioned way instead of through fear and intimidation but he's learning.

His roommates, on the other hand, are often not on friendly terms with each other.

Aw yeah, look at Tom using the stove and not even starting a fire! Up until this point he's been living off a combination of autumn salad, conjured apples, and food his other roommates have cooked. 

It's report card day and Tom got all A's! But he didn't graduate because I suck at math or something. I thought it was showing how many credit hours he would get for each term, but it was showing how many he would get for both terms combined. Therefore he still needs like 12 credits or something.

I don't remember which days he got these on and the screenshots that show the UI go into a different folder so I'm just going to dump them all here. 

Tom is back home and since I haven't built him a house yet he gets to spend the night in his sleeping bag. Definitely not as comfy as his bed in the dorm, especially since I used some of the supplemental money to buy him a better one.

The next morning he was playing with magic when this boulder sized shadow appeared above him.

I moved him out of the way in time so thankfully he wasn't killed but he did get singed. It's too early in the game for close calls like this!

It did catch his property on fire (-5 points) but not having any possessions worked to his advantage. He could take his time putting the various fires out without having anything burn down.

He started out using ice blast but soon his magic waned and he had to result to using muggle technology.

And then this guy who ran up just to freak out caught himself on fire. At least the other guy is already dead.

Since he was just some random townie and not part of my household I don't lose points for this, right?
