Crazy Cat Lady - Chapter 1

This is Katie LaPerm. As you can tell she's a bit crazy. 

This is her cat, Abrez. He's kinda pinkish even though he's a dude because pink is Katie's favorite color. He's playful, non-destructive, and a genius. 

They live in this tree house in Dragon Valley.

The first thing Katie wanted to do was join the Science career. I have no idea why, none of her traits are very sciencey. I love this book shaped computer!

After joining she didn't look very pleased with it haha!

Next she started writing Jimmy Sprocket and the Ghost Town Blanket. Sadly she will probably never finish it, but hey she did get $10 from the publishing company!

Abrez mostly walked around the house checking things out. Counters: good!

Wine: also good! I really don't think cats are supposed to drink... >.>

 After a long day of looking at stuff he needed to sharpen his claws on the scratching post.

Katie wanted to go sing karaoke and lucky enough for her, the Dragon Tavern recently acquired a karaoke machine!

I hoped she might meet some people there but it was completely empty. Instead she just stared out the window all creepy like.

When she got home she was pretty hungry and decided to make some autumn salad... by putting all the ingredients in the food processor. 

Then she stirred it up for good measure. Somehow it still looked like salad once she put it on a plate.

It's the end of day one and no one has died! I call that successful. 

As soon as she woke up she decided to be a hula girl. The summer festival was in town so I guess I can't fault her too much.

"Flies are bad! Eat them all while I'm gone!"

"Plants are good! Don't eat them all while I'm gone!"

Then she was off to her first day at work. Both of her co-workers are elder men and her boss is a woman so no boyfriend potential there.

When she got home she wanted to be best friends with Abrez so they spent some time playing. She also changed into her outerwear even though she was inside and it was summer. It doesn't look that warm anyway.

You can tell she loves him, in her own crazy way.

She needs gardening for her job and luckilly this house came with a small garden already!

Walk all the way out to the chess set to read a logic book from the house. That makes tons of sense.

Waffles are her favorite food. It's the only thing she's eaten after her first meal of autumn salad.

 While Katie was at work Abrez worked on his hunting skill with this catnip mouse toy.

While she was at work one of her co-workers had her test out some new experiment that mad her super strong!

"Yes, I'd like to adopt a cat."

And that's how she got cat #2: Hazel, who is a hunter and non-destructive. 

Crazy Cat Lady - Introduction

I'd like to introduce you to my new sim, Katie LaPerm. She's literally a crazy cat lady. Her traits are insane, hopeless romantic, cat person, easily impressed, and childish. Naturally her lifetime wish is The Cat Herder which requires her to be friends with 15 cats. To make things extra insane I'm playing it as a Wishacy (only possibly more of a challenge, not sure I'll go past one generation) which means free will is on high and I'm not allowed to tell her to do anything unless it fulfills a promised wish, her LTW, or she has a negative need moodlet. The same thing is true for any other member of the family including her cats. So instead of playing it's kind of like watching, which is pretty fun!

I've also decided to play on a realistic time span. Why? I don't know. I'm pretty sure I'll regret this later. Basically I used the pregnancy length, which is 3 days, to decide how long a sim year is and then figured out how many years people spend in each life stage IRL. Yup, I did math and no one even made me! Here's how everything works out:

Baby: 0-6 months, 2 days
Toddler: 6 months - 4 years, 14 days
Child: 5-12 years, 32 days
Teen: 13-18 years, 24 days
Young Adult: 19-30 years, 48 days
Adult: 31-65 years, 140 days
Elder: 66-80 years, 60 days

Total: 320 days aka a looong time, even for me! Which is one of the reasons I'm thinking it may be a challenge rather than legacy. It's recommended that you give wishacy sims the Family Oriented trait which makes it more likely they'll wish for kids and to get married. Since she was already going to end up with a bunch of cats I didn't want her to have a lot of kids as well which is why I picked Hopeless Romantic instead. I have the woohooer mod so if she does end up with a BF/DH they can autonomously risky woohoo. I think that's all the introductory stuff, so lets get this party started!

Speed Simself - Update 2.2

Recap: Roran was revealed as the Gen 2 heir when he, Tamsin, Erik, and his girlfriend Savannah headed off to college. They spent the first day mostly goofing around their dorm and the student union. Unfortunately Erik died tragically when a vending machine fell on him. Everyone was very upset but Erik, ever a fan of Dumbledore, thought death was but the next great adventure and was content to move on.

Tamsin probably took Erik's death the hardest. That night she went to a party at one of the fraternities and may have had a bit too much to drink.

From what I understand she was actually kind of a party pooper, crying a lot and reading out of Erik's science textbook.

When she finally got home she refused to sleep in the room she was supposed to share with our brother. It was just too empty.

Savannah and I were also pretty upset, obviously. We spent a lot of time sitting in front of the bonfire outside.

Well, I guess we weren't only sitting.

 I guess we were just trying to comfort each other.

It wasn't exactly the circumstances I had wanted for our first time but I'm glad I have a girl that loves me.

 The next night Tamsin worked it out with one of our dorm mates to switch rooms. It was early in the semester so the other girl hadn't unpacked completely and settled in yet anyway.

I spent a lot of time trying to distract myself from the pain by upgrading random objects in the dorm.

One day I was distracted all right and almost missed my class! Yet I still couldn't stop thinking about Erik.

I thought exercising might help clear my head. It wasn't something I enjoyed doing but with my genetics my weight seems to creep up on me no matter what I do.

Other than missing our brother the semester was going well, thankfully. I don't think I could take any more heartache. Tamsin was always a good student and spent a lot of time studying.

Savannah was really learning a lot in her classes, even though a lot of other students thought it would be an easy A.

I got to spend time in front of the comic book store analyzing my brain which was pretty cool.

Tamsin was making new friends. When she wasn't studying she was at a party or the student union playing juice pong.

Unfortunately she wasn't very good haha!

One night Erik's ghost popped out of his urn in Tamsin's room.

"You came back! I thought I'd be afraid of ghosts but I'm so glad to see you!"

"I missed you too, Tammy"

"Dude, I can't believe you died!"

"Yeah, but being a ghost isn't too bad. It's actually kinda fun!"

"Sucks that there's no arcade in the underworld though. I'll have to take to Hades about that."

The next day Savannah tried to draw him in her sketchpad, but she's still not that good of an artist. Liam is the one with facial hair, not Erik! But I know she'll get better and you don't have to draw to be a magician anyway.
