Speed Simself - Update 2.9

My mom couldn't be more thrilled to have another grandchild on the way, even if it wasn't under the most ideal circumstances. Truthfully I think she just wanted an excuse to buy a toy chest!

She can be so childish sometimes, but always looks like she's having so much fun! After raising six kids she deserves to do whatever makes her happy in her old age.

On my day off we took Mom and Dad down to the summer festival. Ceilidh got a part time job at the bookstore after school so couldn't make it. I was surprised Savannah was able to beat my dad at the hotdog eating contest!

Mom decided to check out the selection at the face painting booth. Over and over again...

Savannah and I tried our hand (or foot?) at skating. There were some falls at the beginning but we got the hang of it by the end of the night.

Mom joined us after getting her face painted yet again, thankfully for the last time. She's always loved pirates, her and Dad were even married on Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Meanwhile Tamsin had called Bernie and asked him to come visit. She knew he was the father because she hadn't been with anyone else around the time she got pregnant. She feared how he would react but overall he took it well.

They were both quite uncertain as to where to go from there. Since Bernie is also a magician he can find work pretty much anywhere and decided to move to town. He wanted to be in his child's life.

Tamsin really liked him and was thankful he would be willing to do that for her and their child. with her wild days behind her, she decided to give their relationship a proper try.

Uh oh, we've seen those lights before!

My dad was the one to go check them out and was unwillingly taken on quite a ride.

I've been spending most of my down time working towards my dream of being a Chess Legend. The other chess players in this town are good! I was slowly making my way up the ladder.

Baby time! I think we have a picture of my mom that looks almost exactly like this.

Tamsin had a little boy named Jace. Isn't he a cutie?

Their relationship had been going well, so being the modern woman she is Tamsin proposed to Bernie after the baby was born.

He said yes!

They decided to have a private ceremony right then and there.

Then her and Jace moved in to Bernie's cabin on the other side of town.

As for me, I was starting to get impatient for a bundle of joy of our own. I had been promoted and even had my own police car now! Things were looking good.

Speed Simself - Update 2.8

Hey! Look at me playing the Sims again! I know it's been a while, so if you want to refresh your memory here is a list of all the previous updates.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, home. One thing I've learned is that home is where your family is, but it's nice to have a relatively permanent residence as well. A bed that is yours and rooms filled with memories. I liked Starlight Shores well enough but I'm not sure it's where I want home to be for the rest of my days. So when we arrived home from uni we decided not to unpack completely and discuss a big move with the family.

There was something that needed to happen first, though.

Liam and Shelly were blessed with a baby girl named Ruadhan (A/N: For some reason I thought it was a boy when I named her!). My first niece, how exciting!

Not long after her birth the whole family packed up and moved to Hidden Springs. While we were at uni a friend of my mom's passed away and left her a sizable inheritance which made the move possible. Our new home looked nice enough but it was definitely not build for a such a big family.

After selling their house down the road (and some assets Shelly and Ryan brought to the family), Liam, Shelly, their kids, Cassandra, and Ryan were able to buy a house across the street. Mom, Dad, Tamsin, and Ceilidh stayed with us.

Savannah started work as a street magician right away, heading to the park downtown in the afternoons. I got a job in law enforcement.

I was also doing my part to plan our wedding. It wasn't going to be a big thing, just in our backyard, but we wanted it to be nice.

Finally the day was here! Such a mix of excitement and nervousness. I couldn't believe how beautiful Savannah looked.

After a brief ceremony we headed inside for a small reception and some yummy cake.

No shame in taking selfies on your wedding day! We didn't have a photographer so this will have to do.

Of course later we headed upstairs to *ahem* celebrate.

What we didn't expect, was this.
